Said Wani is an experienced health economist and PhD candidate in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) at Semmelweis University in Hungary. With a background in Pharmacy and advanced training in Pharmacoeconomics and Health Economics, he earned an MSc in International Health Economics from Cardiff University in the UK. Over 19 years at the Ministry of Health in Oman, he has held major leadership roles including Director of Medical Supplies and Director of Pharmaceutical Procurement. His expertise covers pharmaceutical procurement, medical device management, quality systems including ISO 13485, strategic planning, and HTA, and he actively contributes to implementing HTA in Oman.
