Dr. Sara Al Balushi graduated from the University of Strathclyde School of Pharmacy and obtained her master’s degree in the UK in 2009. She has 25 years of experience in the Directorate General of Medical Supplies, Ministry of Health, Oman, where she has held various positions and currently serves as Director of the Pharmaceutical Care Directorate. Her accomplishments include developing strategies for pharmaceutical care departments, creating policies and procedures for pharmaceutical care services across tertiary, secondary, and primary care, strengthening standardized pharmacy practice, implementing medication safety tools and techniques, and supporting professional development and career guidance for pharmacists. She is currently in her final year of a PhD specializing in polypharmacy management and organizational change.
