Dr. Ahmed Salim Mohammed Al Aufi is an Omani physician with specialist training in general, vascular and trauma surgery. He completed a three-year fellowship in Vascular and Trauma Surgery at the Leeds Vascular Institute under the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, with experience in open and endovascular vascular surgery and trauma care.
He subsequently completed a Diabetic Foot Limb Salvage and Critical Limb Threatening Ischaemia fellowship at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, involving multidisciplinary clinics, MDTs, theatre sessions and structured follow-up. His earlier training includes General Surgery residency through the Oman Medical Specialty Board and a medical internship at Sultan Qaboos University.
Dr. Al Aufi has published research in vascular surgery and related fields, including work on calciphylaxis, peripheral arterial disease, saphenous fascia anatomy and arteriovenous fistula surveillance. He has presented nationally and internationally and was a first-prize winner for a poster presentation at VSICON 2019.
