Dr. Ali Al Farsi is the Director of the Central Quality Control Laboratory at the Drug Safety Center, Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman. He has extensive expertise in pharmaceutical quality control, environmental risk assessment and regulatory laboratory sciences.
His research focuses on the occurrence, fate and biological effects of pharmaceuticals in wastewater treatment systems. His work addresses the environmental dimensions of pharmaceutical residues and supports sustainable and environmentally responsible pharmaceutical practices.
Dr. Al Farsi is the first author of three peer-reviewed publications in Q1 journals addressing pharmaceutical and radiopharmaceutical residues in wastewater treatment plants, multigenerational toxicity of antibiotics, and comparative in-vitro bioassay-based assessment of wastewater.
