Ahmed Hegazy

Dr. Ahmed Hegazy is a physician by education with a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Medicine, completed with First Class Honor. His thesis on adverse drug reactions in the Middle East was accepted with first degree honor and published in Drug Safety.
He has more than 29 years of pharmaceutical industry experience spanning sales, training, medical, marketing and pharmacovigilance, including more than 12 years in senior Medical Affairs positions. He also served for seven years as Head of Global Patient Safety for Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, Russia and CIS countries at Merck, covering 82 countries.
Dr. Hegazy holds additional qualifications in medical quality and hospital management, including ISO 9001:2015 Quality Lead Auditor certification and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He currently works as an Executive Consultant in Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance and is the founder of Pvigilant Health. He also lectures, trains and regularly chairs, moderates and speaks at international, regional and local events.
