Salma Al-Khani is a Saudi pharmacist and medication safety leader with extensive experience in medication safety, quality improvement, accreditation, and patient safety. She is the Medication Safety Unit Manager at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center and was the hospital’s first Medication Safety Officer, helping establish and advance its medication safety services. She is the founder and director of the Medication Safety Officer Preparatory Course, which has trained hundreds of medication safety officers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. Her work includes medication reconciliation, high-alert medication safety, smart infusion pumps, medication-error prevention, education, and accreditation.
