The Chair Message

Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to welcome you to the Oman International Pharmacy Congress and Exhibition in Sultanate of Oman, from 14^th – 16^th January 2024, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC), in the most beautiful downtown Muscat.

The theme of this congress is “Shaping the Future of Pharmaceutical Services” focusing on the role of the pharmacist in a multidisciplinary team in different specialties. Globally, policy makers, hospital pharmacists, and supply chain specialists will come together and collaborate to further shape our profession’s future — one in which new opportunities, responsibilities, and skill sets for hospital pharmacists, regulatory experts, and supply chain specialists will emerge!

The International Pharmacy Congress will be accredited by the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) and will work in collaboration with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), National Association for Primary Care (UK) and Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) which ensures greater access to well-regarded experts and global current practice topics. The Congress is also supported by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), the Institute of Safe Medications Practices (ISMP) USA and Canada.

Muscat, the capital of Sultanate of Oman, is not only known for its serenity and architecture but also for its culture, traditions, and modernization, surrounded by the mountains, desert and serene beaches. The city is a perfect blend of the old and new, a demonstration to Oman’s spirit of harmony, progress, and cordiality.
